# Expert Advice:

01 -
  • The Boursin melts into a golden herb flecked crust that makes people think you spent far more than ten minutes prepping.
  • It works beautifully for a Tuesday night but looks impressive enough for a date night without any stress.
02 -
  • If you overbake salmon by even a few minutes it dries out fast, so start checking at the 18 minute mark and trust the fork test over the timer.
  • Room temperature Boursin spreads in seconds but cold Boursin will drag against the fish and make a mess, so plan ahead just slightly.
03 -
  • A microplane zester gives you the finest, most fragrant lemon zest without any bitter pith sneaking in.
  • Let the salmon rest for two minutes after baking so the juices redistribute and the cheese topping sets slightly before serving.
